Dr. Shirley Thompson conducts research on food security, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental health in First Nation and Northern Affairs communities, applying participatory video methods as well as other qualitative and quantitative methods. She is presently evaluating the Northern Healthy Foods Initiative and the Chronic Disease Prevention Initiative in Manitoba.
